Keith Fairbairn and EnsembleOx

Ensemble Ox

Ensemble Ox is a flexible group of musicians founded by Marion Ackrill, Keith Fairbairn and Rod Varty to perform 20th and 21st century music.

Large-scale works in repertoire include Berio's Folk Songs and Peter Maxwell Davies' Tenebrae super Gesualdo.

Marion, Keith and guitarist Ray Burley also perform smaller-scale works for more intimate venues.

Marion Ackrill

Marion Ackrill has performed in many stimulating settings, from London churches and galleries such as St James' Piccadilly and Dulwich Picture Gallery, to far-flung religious communities where listening to music can contrast strikingly with listening to silence. Marion is especially attracted to the sweet, clean and light qualities of the flute and is delighted to work with musicians who can add depth and richness to the palette and repertoire she enjoys.
