January 2012
Keith is going into the studio to record tracks with The Tim Perkins Ensemble. Also on the sessions are Tim Perkins (bouzouki, violin, guitar), Melissa Holding (accordion) and Helen Cope (saxophones). Keith is also recording some tracks this month with Andy Findon, for a CD release later in the year on Nimbus Records.
On March 25th, the Keith Fairbairn and Andy Findon Duo are playing a recital at the Cadogan Hall, London as part of a Contemporary Flute Masters Concert. The concert also features flautists Ian Clarke, Gareth Davies and Mike Mower, and pianist Aleksander Szram. More details here.

In September, Keith is adding percussion to tracks for the singer Mari Wilson, working with producer Simon Hale. Also on the tracks are Geoff Gascoyne (bass) and John Parricelli (guitar).

The duo of acclaimed flautist Andy Findon and Keith Fairbairn will be recording over the next few months for Nimbus Records. This will include various contemporary pieces written for this line up plus Piazolla L'Histoire du Tango and arrangements of some Bach Suites specifically for this duo by arranger and flautist Chris Britton. The duo will be performing a concert at the London Flute School course in October.

Keith will be putting percussion on a recording project for guitarist Andy Jones. Other musicians on the recording include saxophonist Richie Buckley, the keyboards and piano of John G Smith and Jeff Leach, and vocals by Patti Revell.

Keith and Raymond Burley have finished recording and mixing Ney Rosauro's Toccata & Divertimento for Classical Guitar and Vibraphone for a CD of Percussion in duets with other instruments.

Keith is rehearsing Yuyama's Divertimento for Saxophone & Marimba for a recording with saxophonist Helen Cope in the summer. Keith has also been recording demos with singer Tuanne Mac.

Keith has just finished recording Tim Perkins' Kissing the Strawberry Wasp with harpist Sarah Goss ready for his forthcoming percussion duet CD release in 2011.
